Today we held our second meeting since starting the KIEM MV project where we test the performance of solar panels with and without a blue-green roof. I presented the results so far, where we can prove at least one hypothesis, but still need more research to determine the second one due to solar panels that underperform. Below are the program, photos, and some images of the presentation from today.
INTEGRALLY SUSTAINABLE ROOFS - WHAT KIND OF EDUCATION DO WE NEED?
- Parallel session 1: Stakeholder management for innovative ecosystems. How do you professionally collaborate with other, more or less sustainable organisations? Dr. Christian Kroll designs a teaching case based on the green roof ecosystem.
- Parallel session 2: Interactive game circular construction. Where are the pitfalls and possibilities in the value chain for circular construction? Dr. Marja Exalto-Sijbrands designs an interactive game on circular construction and integrates regenerative elements such as green roofs and walls.
- Parallel session 3: Regenerative entrepreneurship. How do you start and sustain a regenerative enterprise to green the built environment, while balancing idealism and money? Dr. Karen Verduijn and dr. Pedro Branco design frameworks and best practices for regenerative business models.
- Plenary outdoor session: We know less and less about our natural environment. Yet, being in nature stimulates creativity, inspiration, and holistic problem-solving. dr. Corelia Baibarac-Duignan and dr. Alexandria Poole design education interventions outdoors to help you experience nature anew.
