Research on the performance of Green Panels

Our first BSc student is starting his thesis project on measuring the performance of Green Panels next week. He will test the impacts on temperature and the soil moisture content of different experimental settings of the Green Panels, with variations in height of the installation and of substrates. The idea is to construct a temporary 'roof' on the ground floor outside of the Zuid Horst at the University Twente, engineering technology faculty. This is partially funded through the project 'Towards climate-proof cities with innovative blue-green infrastructures' with the VU Amsterdam.

For future studies, we have a willing citizen in Enschede who wants to lend us his roof for testing the real life impacts of Green Panels. For this, we are still looking for a student to perform these measurements and compare them to the initial findings.
